Ashley comes to Ecsell Sports with an extensive background in athletics, growing up as a volleyball coach’s daughter and an avid volleyball player herself. She even followed in her parent’s footsteps by becoming a high school volleyball coach in 2015, and she’s been coaching ever since.
Ashley’s love for learning and growth led her to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned a degree in Agricultural Education-Leadership in 2019. She spent two years at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, working as the project coordinator of Project Ag Aware: SBIRT in Agricultural Work Settings. In this position, she conducted valuable research, which she used to help educate agricultural workers about substance abuse and mental health.
Ashley refers to her position at Ecsell Sports as her “dream job” because it combines her passions of athletics, education and building a more positive student-athlete experience. Ashley’s background as a coach’s daughter, an athlete and a coach herself provides her with a uniquely empathetic relationship with the clients she serves. Her favorite part of working at Ecsell is interacting with people across the nation who share her joy in bringing about the personal and professional growth of coaches.
Ashley resides in Minden, Nebraska, with her husband Andrew and two golden retrievers. Outside of Ecsell, you will likely catch Ashley playing, watching or coaching just about any sport – from volleyball to golf to pickleball – helping out on the family farm, walking her dogs, or enjoying the great outdoors.

The Best Day on the Calendar
I can’t pick a single day, but in early May or June when the trees begin growing new leaves, the grass begins to green, and farmers’ crops begin to sprout. When spring meets summer is my favorite time of year.
Who inspires you?
It may sound cliché, but my family has always inspired me. I’m very blessed having – as well as marrying into – a family who I can lean on, but who also challenges me to get outside my comfort zone.
Completely Memorized Song
I could go on and on with this one, but here are a few: “Hotel California” by the Eagles, “Untitled Hymn” by Chris Rice, “Springsteen” by Eric Church, “House of The Rising Sun” by The Animals, “Regarding Your Departure” by Noah Floersch, and many more …
Favorite Ecsell Moment
A few years ago, when Ecsell Sports was simply an idea being tossed around. Those first few meetings in the old Ecsell offices were full of the hope of helping athletic coaches enhance the experience of their student-athletes, the excitement of a big new idea coming to fruition, and the anticipation of the unknown future. When I look back to how far we have come since those initial meetings, I feel like I’m in a dream when I see how much we have grown, as well as how many lives we’ve impacted.
