
Ecsell Sports marks Mikal’s return to marketing. He holds a doctorate in history with a specialization in digital humanities methods. As an Assistant Professor, the Ford Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities funded his academic pursuits. Mikal led a team of eight humanities scholars and a research team of six across multiple disciplines. Mikal has published in numerous academic journals, presses, and the Wall Street Journal.
Before Ecsell, you could find Mikal in the music industry, designing guerilla marketing campaign strategies for Astralwerks/EMI North America. His love for tech led him to the digital realm where he spearheaded digital marketing campaigns for some of the world’s most prominent music artists and tours in the early aughts.
